The headline and lead of the article both seem slightly inaccurate. Later in the article, it states that they weren't charged due to their "snuggling," but because, when asked to stop, the man "threatened" a flight attendent.
I have to wonder if the press didn't skew the account simply as a way to bitch about Homeland Security.
Maybe, although considering how much legitimate stuff there is to complain about, I'm not sure why they needed to.
