No, Jim is right I was a little harsh there. My point was intended to be something along the lines of how people take pride in thier hometown sportsteams...when all they've done to win whatever trophy is at stake is sit and drink beer and watch the games.
It's dreadfully tiring for people to take pride in things that have nothing to do with thier own merit....which is what I was assuming Brad was doing here. Perhaps he was not, and if not I do appologize.
From my point of view, these people were great individuals in their own right...not great Jewish people or otherwise. Just inspired individuals. I don't think it's right or fair for a group of people to lay claim to thier accomplishments as though thier dogma somehow led them to these achievements.
If my opinion is offensive in it's own right, then there's nothing I can say or do here....that is my opinion.
