ok. well. our boards asplode again.  yes, claire. it did. and, again, its cuz they're too big. this time, its perhaps a more fatal issue, as the only other step up for me server wise is a dedicated shpeal ... which is like $50-90 extra a month. which blows. in an effort to make us seem not so big, i had to ditch a few features, so you may notice some differences here n'there. ill try to keep a running tab in here, so's you can at least keep track of when and where to complain. mm hmm!

some things that had t'go:
- like your favorite super hero during a crossover event, the shout box has died off again. waiting, no doubt, to be resurrected, again, by some hacky writer, and infused with new powers, a gay costume, and some kind of watery hand, or something.
- the massive amount of pages of threads in every forum. random chat went from 300+ to ... 50, i think. i forgot to check, and now i'm too lazy. but, don't worry, the old threads are still there. in the bottom of every forum page is a little pulldown menu, on the left, that allows you to change what threads you want the forum to show. (i.e; "active in last 6 months")
- the stunningly tall post pages. no longer do thread pages stack 20 posts high. its 10 to a page now.
oddly enough, lil stuff like that will end up making a big difference, and lighten the drain of the boards on the server. they might even make them run a lil faster for you.

Well, at least the boards are back up.. and I have indeed noticed pages load a bit faster now.
The crash made me nervous enough that I copied my " Tales Of The Champions " story to a safe place, and will eventually put it on disk. That represents about ten months of work, and I just can't lose that!
" Lost in Time and Space " could easily go on for another two years before it runs it's course. This particular storyline is based on ideas I first thought up over 20 years ago.
It started out to be a comic book I was writing and drawing, but illustrating the story made it take far too long, and I had to abandon the project in 1990.
