I finally.. at 3:38 am .. was able to post all my Champions chapter! There was ONE word that was preventing me from posting the last part of it.

yeah, like i was sayin here, when the boards asploded a few days back, we were moved to a temporary server -- akin to "the principal's office."

this new server has something on it called "mod_security", which is a security module for apache servers. basically, it flags certain words as unsafe, typically because those words have some sorta other, servery meaning, and they dont wanna get them confused.

which is weird. and dumb. and annoying.

it affects us in scenarios that you and beardsy and doc and gman and a buncha others have already found; while making posts, especially longer ones, its possible you stumbled upon one of these words and the server will not allow you to post them to the boards. ...and its not even that consistant, as sometimes they ARE allowed through.

some of these words are:
    from (with reversed r and o)
    trem (with reversed e and r)
    alram (with reversed r and a)


the server we're on now is temporary, so you wont have to deal with this forever. however, in the meantime, its something you have to deal with.

if you're making an especially long post, its best to select all of the text and hit "control C" to copy it. you don't hvae to paste it anywhere, though that helps. then try to post your text. if it goes through, great.

if you get the error, hit back to get to the thread, which has now deleted your text. hit paste (control V) in the text box to get all your text back. then try entering your post paragraph by paragraph.

you don't have to enter them all as separate posts, just post a paragraph, then go back and edit your post and try to add the second paragraph. eventually, you'll get the big error again, and you'll know the offending word is in that paragraph, so you can break that down (line by line, or word by word).
