from what little i've heard, the marvel registration storyline tends to focus a lot more on the "big brother" negatives of government control / intervention.
i think with DC's potential public-generated movement, there are a lot more benefits to registering. aquaman, for example, might see this as an opportunity to finally get recognition of atlantis, placing it in the UN, being part of global decisions, increasing punishments for eco-terrorism, etc.
old school JSAers might feel the "for the people, for the flag" movement that spirited their WWII adventures.
green arrow was always uber liberal, but now as a politician himself, he might want to ensure things are done more according to the law.
anyone with younger sidekicks, or anyone dealing with super powered youths (young justice, new character in the robin books, spoiler, etc) might enjoy the regimented instructions and training that heroes would have to officially undertake as part of their registration.
plus, the simple notion of operation under the public's support, something heroes like superman and the flash have most always done, would be too much of a loss to their personas if they were taken away.
