Judaism does not believe this. Judaism believes any person who is good will be welcome in the world to come. What it means to be "good" is up for debate, but basically it means any monotheist who lives a righteous life.

They can't.
My parents always told me that there is no afterlife for jews, that jews do not believe in a life after this one. Maybe they were given incorrect information...and it got passed down to me.
It would appear that I am the most spiritual member of my family. I do not believe in religion, but I have always felt close to GOD, and work hard to do the right thing.
I can neither prove nor disprove it, but I just know that there is an afterlife, that our soul goes somewhere else at the conculsion of this existance. It is a rule of elementary physics : Energy cannot be destroyed, only diverted. Our souls have energy, therefore, the soul goes somewhere.
I would be curious as to how many scientists do believe that religion and science can co - exist together in harmony? I believe that the two can.
