I need to book flights and time off, and save some serious money (even if you take the cost of flights out of the equation, theres no point going to the USA without some serious wonga in my pocket).
Anything less than six months before the date is no good to me!
Well, *I* thought we had a 100% confirmed date... I was, apparently, FUCKING wrong.
Six months out is October now, I think that is no good for any of us (although hotels and flights would be cheaper) b/c jobs, school, etc. Maybe a Kamphausen Thanksmas, Charlie Brown?
I would again like to propose organizing this around a convention of another sort. Like WonderCon or something. We're all geeks, it might be fun during the hangover-hours to have somewhere to go.
I also want to emphesize two points. One, at least a few of us are serious about the whole thing, so it would be totally cool to make it happen. Two, if only Sneaky, Beardguy, and I make real definate yes/no answers, there's nothing to work with. The reason this failed to plan the first time is because of wishy-washy answers. So, "Yes, I plan to come on the 12th of June," is a good answer, even if we end up rescheduling for the 10th. Draw lines in the sand, don't just fart in the sandbox.
agreed.
in the post i linked to above rob 'decided' amongst harley and i. in the months and posts before that no one actually discussed other locations, dates or if they were going. and int he few pages after nothing related to it was discussed.
october though slightly cold would work. but i can't think of any Con's around then.
And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack. 2,506,410.81 CAD Rack points
