50 new posts in this thread since last time I checked. I swear Harley needs her own flirting forum.
Some comments on the actual story.....
I've really been enjoying it. I expected good stuff from CJ, Doc and Grimm because of stuff I've read before (I've been lurking in this forum for a while). I'm having fun doing this even though I haven't contributed a lot, I plan on doing more but I kinda see this as me going along for the ride, adding what I can without stepping on anyones toes. This is going to be a learning experience for me. Harley has surprised me with her writing. I have enough trouble coming up with my posts and here she comes in out of blue and posts massive additions that are really good same with Knutreturns, who doing well, I like the Sam Fisher thing. I need more references to how the character are. For what ever reason I picture Seth as Sawyer from lost, with the voice and everything.

I'm so confused! When did I get a sister?
Just to let you know, I envision Redjack of being mixed Irish/African ancestry so any siblings would also have to be part black or half siblings (I know I never said it, I expected people to catch on from him being from the south side of Chicago). I imagine him as being a light skinned black man with red hair. Unusual, I know.
The name Redjack came from me playing solitare on the computer and thinking "Blackjack is a common term, but Redjack isn't. I shall make a character with that name!"
His shady background kept him out of the Special Forces. He left the Army and became a mercenary but later found that he could use his skills and connections to make more money working for criminal orginizations.

You're assuming that people know what the south side of Chicago is like. I have no idea what its like and never would have drawn that inference.

Edit: Actually, the more I think about this, the more I like the idea of them being half-sibs...NW, I think this gives them a shared history beyond just being heist partners and can prove to be fertile grounds for a twist or two down the line...

I like the idea, I was just surprised and explaining some of the strange, strange reasoning that goes through my head. It definitely opens possibilities and gives him a connection to one of the other characters beyond working together (and not being part of the love duodecagon that's been constructed).

K im somewhat confused...I know that i had posted about Sam that his "enemy" had produced evidence that he was a rat (it was fake by the way) but Harley had posted that it was Leigh that gave this evidence to Viv. Does that mean that she was working for this guy?

I think they would. I'd say it was probably Leigh who brought Redjack into the group. The way I'm seeing it is that they didn't know the other existed until they were both in their teens and that Redjack never really knew his father. They both got into crime on their own (proving criminal tendencies are hereditary) Oh, and his van is dark blue. DARK BLUE. Just in case it comes up later (y'know if there's a car shooting scene later).

Ok, just read the updates in the story and I have to say that I am so damned impressed with you guys! Really liking how this is going and look forward to jumping in again when I get back. And yes, I'm on the crackberry right now - despite the best laid plans to be cb free, a work deal began to hemorrhage the morning I was supposed to leave (of course) and I was forced to take this thing with me. 
Now I'm nursing the mother of all hangovers - seriously, I feel awful, tho that could also be from all the moola I've lost  it's hard to count to "21" when things get blurry! - and am the only person not sleeping at the moment, so I popped in here...

Also, since we seem to clarify things in this thread - I'm a bit confused about something too. It's been implied that Leigh and Seth were lovers at one point, but then Seth says that they've never played this game w each other before. So, which is it? Were they or weren't they?
Like I said in an earlier post, I don't have a problem with that angle, but only if it provides a motive or forwards the story in some way. I just don't want Leigh - or Vivian for that matter - to be painted as tramps "just because."
Also, I don't know how it usually works in group writing, but can I suggest that Redjack and Leigh have some kind of relationship that isn't totally about betrayal? They are brother and sister afterall and I would like to think she isn't completely heartless. If I had the time I would write it myself, and if no one wants to tackle it I will when I get back in a few.
Again, I don't mean to step on peoples toes if this is not how things are done in this forum. Its only a suggestion, but if there is some sort of protacol about how thing work here, please let me know.

ok what I was going for in that scene is that Leigh is trying to throw him off with her body and acting playful. when she says "we've never played this game before" it's referring to Seth's "handling" of her. he's being a little rough, and she's trying to turn it to her advantage.
when replied "Oh, we've never played this game before." It's actually in reference to something I was trying to set up with Leigh, Redjack, and Seth in an attempt to build off of nw's post about them going to Jersey. he was talking about something other than a relationship. but that little subplot got kinda derailed. *shrugs*
so it's still open as to whether they have or haven't. doesn't matter to me either way.

Like I said in an earlier post, I don't have a problem with that angle, but only if it provides a motive or forwards the story in some way. I just don't want Leigh - or Vivian for that matter - to be painted as tramps "just because."

But yeah, I get what your getting at. Honestly, play it however you want. Personally, I like the idea of Leigh flirting with Seth, simply because I'm sure it would piss Vivian off more. Which would make Seth and Leigh pretty happy. And I could sort of believe Seth would do that on purpose just to make Vivian jealous (in fact, that's why I had Vivian get her cigarettes from Sam -- sort of a way to dig into Seth).

Actually, you make a good point. While completely evil villians are okay sometimes, I think we're going for something a little more complex. And I think it's quite a good idea to have Leigh (or anyone) have someone that they're capable of keeping promises with. That's what makes them more interesting. So go ahead, make Redjack and Leigh trust each other. I'm all for it.

Oh, this is pretty much how we do things. If we didn't communicate, everone's egos would get in the way. Plus, as we've already discovered, being subtle doesn't work here very well.
And don't be afraid to PM a particular person if you want to work on something. I already PMed Grimm about a few things, because I do want some suspense for everyone.

Thanks! I figured since this was my idea, I should come up with a villian we can tackle. Not the greatest I've done (but for some reason he reminds me of the fat guy in Casablanca, so maybe I'll give him a blue parrot). Throwing Ramos in can move the story forward, and I'm all about that.
