It just gets better and better...

Dear, sweet Harley Kwink...I'm madly in love with you. Marry me! We can go to Canadia. Or Boston or something. It'll be grand...You know the cookies are a given. They are ALWAYS a given. You could dump me tomorrow and you'd still get the cookies. Boston..shit, wherever dyke weddings were legalized. And where better to rub their little piggie noses in how bad they suck than right on their doorstep? What are they gonna do? Be jealous of you? Stare furiously at your tah-tahs? Not willingly give you cookies, but instead begrudgingly give you their cookies? Woman, time to wake up to the powers you wield - Uschi

Wrong! Nothing pisses off this baldy more than shaving what little hair he has on the rim, and it growing quick and thick in a week. It's a pain in my ass to have to keep doing something about this Patrick Stewart swirl I have. If it's going, I wish it would ALL just go and be done...

It's basically the first episode of the animated Legion show. It has the various members narrating their first impressions of Superman. Not bad & a must have for Legion fanatics.

Did you catch the Sun Eater finale that aired today btw?

Nope! I was up very late and slept very late. How was the Sun Eater episode? Which Legionnaires fought it? Did anyone die?

The whole team plus the Subs & the Fatal Five were in it. surprisingly, Shrinking Violet & Matter-Eater Lad played significant parts. Not as much as Ferro Lad though. He ended up making the ultimate sacrifice once again. Or did he? There was a quick shot near the end showing where the blast threw his body. This was after the team made a big statue of him so apparently they assumed he was vaporised. The episode ended with Superman returning back to his own time to start his new reporting job. He told them he could come back the moment after he left them. A nice ending if the series hadn't been renewed for a second season. (In the first episode the team told Clark they could return him back to his own time the moment after he left.)

You are only 50% correct, Jim.

I am actually 7.5 years older than you. ( I was born on July - 9 - 1957 )

And you are not black.

My apologies.

But I don't tend to prefer men older than me.

And I'm not turning black anytime soon.

I see that today's Free Comic Book Day and there seems to be even less interest than usual.

I still think that the publishers should do something like this:

Actually, if the publishers were smart, instead of giving out a single issue of a particular comic book, they'd print up coupons that would let the kids pick up whatever "all ages" book they wanted.

That way if a kid who loves the Batman cartoon walks in and sees a Bat-book he can have that and not have the Legion comic he doesn't give a shit about foisted upon him. Similarly, a kid that just likes the costumes in Avengers can get that instead of a Spider-man book.

This would also give the publishers a better idea of what might sell, because they would be able to see what books the kids, left to their devices, chose (as opposed to what was forced upon them).

I think it depends on the area and the shops. my lcs had a big promotion this year and had lots of people even late in the day. it was the most crowded I've seen the place.
