been awhile since i watched it....i lost both my transformers AND gi joe movies, but i rememebr liking transformers more as a child, joe more as an adult.

Yeah, what NWedge said.
No one dies in the GI Joe movie, but they get hurt really bad. The Cobra La stuff is kinda weak, but makes for some interesting Cobra Commander moments you may enjoy. The Cartoon movie takes place right about the same time or right after season 4 of Joe I believe....as for the comics read the Marvel ones, but don't even bother with the Devil's Due stuff...
The movie intro is absolutely amazing though...

I'm just going to comment thoughout this movie.
1. Flint, cocking a gun, and saying, "And we need all the Joes we can get to whack back."
I can't make shit like this up.
2. Someone needs to tell Flint that little prick Falcon stole his beret. Only Flint can wear a beret. And did he smack the Asian girl's ass?
2. Mythical snake people and elite military forces do not mix. Ever.
3. Wait. I'm going to make a prediction. Falcon = Hot Rod. Let's see if this turns out.
4. I just realized Destro's shirt is open. This entire time, I thought he was black.
5. Cobra La...is just not doing it for me. When you guys mentioned it, I thought it was refering to the Commander's hispanic grandmother. Really.
6. Duke has a half brother? What the hell.
7. Starscream tosses Megatron. Cobra La tosses Cobra Commander. Ironic? A little.
8. Sgt. Slaughter. Best damn name ever. Globulos? Not so much.
9. Okay, when Optimus Prime died...that was pretty noble. Duke gets bitten by a snake. Dang, that wasn't executed well...
10. Dude, why the hell is Cobra Commander a snake? (Ten minutes later) Okay, that wasn't that bad actually.
Still, this can be expressed mathamatically:
Cobra Commander turning into a talking snake < Starscream in a purple cape and crown getting shot at his own party
11. Okay, I know they changed the ending because of all the seven years olds that cried over Optimus (I'm looking at all of you). But that was pretty damn cheap.
All in all...the first five minutes was okay. The rest of it was an acid trip. I'm just going to pretend I didn't see this movie and that Cobra Commander is still from some Socialist part of Europe. That is all.
