Okay, Netflix has Season Two Part One, but they don't have Season One Part One. And I've already seen Season One Part Two.

...when does Serpentor arrive? Because I don't like him.

Also, I think I'll check out that WWII GIJoe and Transformers comic again. I liked it, although I was still having trouble with the robots and had no clue Snake Eyes was a good guy (Snake name + black clothing = evil?).

Yeah, I just reread it. It makes much more sense now. Like I said, I was having a lot of trouble fitting this mute Ninja into the whole GI Joe thing, but actually, I like him now. And somehow, Scarlett and Snake Eyes seem to fit together better than Duke and Scarlett. Not sure why.

Still, my favorite parts were Baroness threatening to shoot Megatron's 'pretty eyes', and Bumblebee letting Scarlett ride him. "Um...Scarlett? You can ride me any time." Hilarious.

cuz they were made to. ;\) seriously, if you can find reprints or downloads of the original comics, that's some good, well written stuff. Larry Hama (the guy who created the version of GIJoe that we're all familiar with) wrote the bulk of the series. he really gets into the characters and it's more realistic than the cartoons (although probably slightly dated being as it's twenty years old).

Snake Eyes is easily one of the best characters in the whole series and his origins are very cool and unique.

Honestly...I'm not to fond of comics from the 80s (my roommate got me a Hawkman one for my birthday one year...my God, the HAIR) but I may break down and check them out.

...Flint is in them, right?

you can't generalize. there's good and bad. you came into Hawkman during his best run.

I think the book started around 82/83. Flint didn't show up till around 84 or 85, but yeah, he's around a good bit after he debuts. I think he's pretty prominent in the Special Missions spinoff, too.

actually, the comic even made Serpentor seem kinda cool. GIJoe #50, the Joes finally march on Springfield (where's Homer when you need him?) and Serpentor gets shot in the shoulder on the battlefield. He heats up a knife by holding it over a fire and uses it to cauterize his own wound. He gets bandaged up and leads the Cobras back into battle. that was so much better than anything on the show at that point.

dammit, I may have to go get all those again now.

I was already in college when "GI Joe" first aired. Of all the cartoons of that era, it was the only one worth watching, and actually better than a lot of the crap I had to watch as a kid.

Actually Marvel did reprint 'em in TPB but only 5 volumes....just past the initial Serpentor story.

I thought image or darkhorse or something like that reprinted the entire marvel series a couple years ago.

Actually, the FAQ stuff and the other pages are very useful. I didn't get the whole Sunbow/Dic thing.

And the 'Help! My Joe broke in half!' was just funny.

I don't think they're even on DVD. Netflix only has seasons one and two listed.

I'm currently "attempting" to download the complete GI Joe. It's 24 Gigs..so it will take 5 -7 days I guess....anyway, I'll let you know about season 2.5 and 3 when and if I get it...I haven't seen those episodes in 20 years.

My first G.I. Joe comic. Went back and got the one before it since that was a big event comic. After that I was hooked. Read all the older issues in reprints. I think I stopped reading them when they got to the 90's.

Downloading the entire run to see how it holds up. Probably will buy it when I can.
