I VERY like the nod to the real birth of the MBL, and the meaning of the name, that can't be anything else than the acronym of those real words. Any retcon-explanation have never been satisfying, nor faithful to the Message Board League.
I am somehow perplexed about the retcon to Quinn's public identity. I think (I have not re-read the previous stories, for lack of time) that he was blaming himself to have made his name publicy known resulting in the killing of his girlfriend. But maybe I am wrong.
Surely, I remember him being worried with Hero because he didn't reveal his own identity... so surely Quinn revealed his to his teammates.
But let's hear Gooz on the subject.
