The bottom line is that the general public thinks of the JLA as the Super Friends: Superman, Batman, Robin, Aquaman,and Wonder Woman, plus maybe Flash and Green Lantern.
Jesus Christmas, YES!!! You are exactly right. And, you don't know how badly it hurts me to type that. Or maybe you do. Either way, you've hit the nail on the head. This mysteriously vague "general public" that is continually mentioned in this thread, the ones that have never heard of the Justice League or the Big Seven or whatever (as if a large grouping of people like that truly exist these days in a world of constant information), will naturally draw from the only true exposure they've had to the concept. And, it's either going to be the fucking Super Friends (the Big Seven plus some) or the recent Cartoon Network Justice League/Unlimited series (the Big Seven plus some). In the end, the math is still the same: The Justice League = The Big Seven (plus some)...
