You do realise that those stats are not movie specific, and only account for a small percent of a particular population, not the whole world?
The reason you have seemed contradictory is that you have basically jumped on what Grimm and myself are saying, and saying we are wrong, despite the fact that your points tend to agree with us. You seem to be under the misaprehension that we said what Pro said.
The whole reason this argument started is because typical knee jerk fanboy reaction is that a JLA movie is not a JLA movie without Bats/Supes, and will be shit! You yourself are basically pointing out, that Joe Public has a perception, and its not necessarily the right perception (the Spiderman analogy), so they wont actually be that bothered if Bats/Supes aint in it if its a good movie...........basically the same thing Grimm & myself have been saying.
