I grew up in the 60's and watched all the old horror flicks:
Frankenstein, Wolfman, King Kong, etc.
They all scared the shit outta me when I was 5, 6, 7, 8,...
I saw " The Leech Woman " at age 9. A woman drains the life energy from men.
The 4 - D man, who walks through walls and drains life from others, too.
Wolfman scared me as a kid.
I am 50. The only special effects I saw in the early 1960's was the " Harryhausen " stop action effects. Posing a model for frame by frame action.
It scared me in 1963. The same effects are laughable now, as we are jaded by the computer era of special effects.
But there was a time when King Kong really scared me.. and the Wizard Of Oz, too.
