Kyle never did anything for me except when Morrie wrote him in JLA. most of his early stories seemed to follow a formula: someone tricks him into taking off his ring, fails to get ring to work, gives ring back, etc. or were rehashing the same battle with Jordan/Parallax etc.
although I did like the relationship that was built between him and Alan Scott, and having Jade brought into a GL role (though it was brief).
