I dunno - the only time I read GL was when he had the ring. I alwasy thought that Hal's was boring as fuck, except when he went crazy right before Kyle's reign. Kyle took over and I enjoyed watching him grow from scared and awkward to pretty secure as the GL. The only part of his run I dislike was the Alex-in-the-refridge moment - though it did inspire Gail Simone's great commentary about comics and their "women in refridgerators" problem...
