Carlos is one of my all-time favorite artists. I've seen some rushed stuff from him before, but, never actually "bad" art. Batty, have you ever tried
Arrowsmith? It's a Kurt Busiek/Carlos Pacheco book based on the concept that humanity never let go of magic. That, by the 20th century...and WWI to be precise...magic dominates over science. So, you have entire squadrons of soliders flying with the aid of dragons, and steam liners that sail across the ocean, levitating a few feet off the surface of the water, and the like. Naturally, the Nazis are into the Dark Arts, and there are Battle Mages everywhere. I don't normally enjoy magic anything. But, this book was freakin' great! There's been a longtime rumor that they were planning on doing a sequel, but I've yet to see anything about it.
