According to this week's LITG, the rumored plan is for Batman to die, be reincarnated as a "New God," and go head to head vs Darkseid in the "final crisis."
Dumb dumb dumb. The only way it'll be cool is if they kill each other. That way we can have a new Bruce (and possibly big seven) for the post Final Crisis continuity. And yes, I know even that sounds DUMB!!
