I had that book. I liked how Clark looked buff and steroidal from behind but he looked all frail and balding when he looked at you straight on.

That book came out in, what 79 or 80...something like that?

I like how much the comic itself makes fun of Superman for being a retarded character, whilst desperately attempting to have some derivative of logic make pseudo-sense of what was otherwise just accepted as a small weakness in the creation of the character (this being the "glasses makes the man" aspect).

Ummm....Curt Swan drew cool pictures in that book.

But what would happen if Alan Moore came out and stated definitively that he never wrote the book with the intention that Babs was raped? And he said that he preferred if people didn't indentify with him as such

What if the pics were only intended to humiliate her and drive Gordaon insane with speculation and the innuendo of their composition?

What if Joker is actually impotent and part of the reason he kills and commits crimes is overcompensation for the fact that he has no overt sexual desires whatsoveer?

What if Joker has a penis thie size of a gerbil's and if he did attempt to rape Babs, all she did was laugh at him...causing him to immediately lose his miniscule erection?

What if The Joker DIDN'T rape Babs?

I never thought he did rape Babs (as mentioned many other places). The whole "When Joker raped Babs ('cause he did!)" is just to piss off Pariah.

And Alan Moore HAS definitively stated he never meant to imply rape, and isn't being paralyzed and photographed nude horrible enough?

And Joker is "great in the sack" -- his wife says so.

Never knew that the whole "cuz he did" thing was for Pariah. I now have a newfound respect for it. Anything that's intended to piss him off, I agree with.

I kinda liked Jason Todd in 'Death of a Family' and Max Allan Collin's origin, but dead characters should generally stay dead.

You know, once in a great while, it's a good thing that DC has to answer to a bunch of corporate suits with one eye on merchandising:

You can still expect a status-challenging new scenario, still expect Alex Ross covers and designs, still expect some intricately complex yet instantly entertaining Morrisonia, just, expect something else. Did Internet reaction affect this? Not one jot it seems. All decisions are taking place at a much higher level, and Warner Bros. have made their feelings known.
