Because I sincerely meant that Clinton deserved a certain amount of respect for the way she handled this even though I believe that MEM's praise rang hollow given that he praises, or at least defends, everything she does.

Ohhhh respect for clinton. I guess I was confused and thought you meant MEM since you made absolutely no attempt to identify Clinton as the one you had respect for.

You wrote a post directly to me. I wrote a response. I'm not sure how that would seem to be undue attention to you.

Actually, the actor Kelsey Grammer, who plays Frasier, is a Republican. On both "Cheers" and his own spin off, it was generally acknowledged that the character Fraiser was a democrat.

"frasier" in this case is a nickname as you can't date a fictional person.

But you started the point by referencing fictional characters, Sam and Diane, not actors Ted Danson and Shelly Long. And Danson and Long did not date in real life, so if you try to now say you were referencing the actors, not the fictional characters, your analogy fails again.

Okay idiot, you said "I've noticed you get easily confused" which implies you pay more attention to me then just the average reply to my statement. Now if you haven't figured it out it's baseless pot shot. Obviously just reading my post like you would any other poster but you had to go and be all serious about it as though you had something to hide. So now I'm REALLY beginning to wonder about you. For now on I'm going to be extra careful when I go into public bathrooms.

Again, an example of your easy confusion.

You post here frequently. You seem to expect replies to your posts. But when anybody actually reads them or notices what you say (or don't say) in them, let alone replies to them, you act as if this is a wholly unexpected thing.

Your inability to comprehend something as simple as "if you post a lot in a particular forum, people will take notice of your posts" seems to be, at best, another example of a confused mind.

Wow, I can swear I remember saying something along the lines of

Obviously just reading my post like you would any other poster but you had to go and be all serious about it as though you had something to hide

Which completely negates the necessity of you saying what you just said. So before you continue to make an ass of yourself

i said "a sam and diane thing" going on, meaning a situation similar to the fictional characters. i then suggested frasier, a valid nickname for the man who played that role for over 20 years (if you yell "hey frasier" at grammer he would probably respond). by saying "he's a republican" i firmly established that i was discussing the actor who played the character. an actor who had to portray the heavy drama of a broken heart and might like to relive the fictional scenario in real life only with a happier outcome.

Yeah, it completely bothers me. The only thing bothers me more is morons. That's two excuses for you not to respond and actually back up your nonsense.

Wow.

So you think insurance is a "left wing" issue? You must have missed my Mike Huckabee YouTube clip then. He must have sounded like a crazed "left winger" to you, in that one then.

This is best discussed in that thread but wow, i'm amazed that you can say something like this when this is one of the big issues facing the country, both right and left today.

It just seems to me that partisans or even the people backing them up, seem to get locked into their ideology and rhetoric rather than their own best interests and the reality of the world around them.

Wow.

You must have missed the part where it was obviously me just making fun of you for politicizing this event from the get-go. Maybe one day you'll take your head out of your idealogical ass and get a sense of humor.

Whatever dude.

your meaning was clear. Besides, the " I was only making a joke" fallback only works for Sammitch. Having someone else use it only cheapens it's effect.

Actually I don't think it works to well for Sandwitch either.

Looks like you misspelled a word there.

More confusion demonstrated.

At one point he says it bothers him. Then he seems to place significance on the need for me to respond. These points are contradictory.

Maybe he can post a photobucket image of a popular piece of political clip art and clear things up that way.

I thought you might fall back on the "sarcasm/I was only kidding" excuse.

I can accept that you probably were being sarcastic and/or joking around. But I find it odd that you seem rather unable to detect the use of humor in the rest of us.

I find it presumptive for you think I can't detect the humor so much as I don't think it's funny.

And it's only an excuse if it's not true. The comment was so blatantly contradictory that anybody with any kind of common sense should be able to see it was sarcasm.

There's a difference, as you acknowledge, between recognizing humor/sarcasm and enjoying the particular joke or sarcastic remark.

Quite often, I would submit, posters here (including myself and Sammitch) are clearly using sarcasm or humor (my "you seem easily confused" joke being just one example) and you react as if you just don't understand that it was a joke in the first place. Conversely, whenever someone doesn't "get" one of your bon mots, you seem to quickly accuse them of being stupid.

You can't have it both ways.

See, this is all bullshit. Your trying to turn this into a matter of whether you enjoyed the sarcasm but it's not. It's a matter of how you didn't recognize the sarcasm. I KNOW you didn't recognize the sarcasm cause you said my claim that it was sarcasm was an "excuse". Look, your just digging yourself deeper.

 Quote:
The man accused of taking five people hostage at a Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign office desperately wanted help with a drinking problem, but lacked insurance and money to pay for it, his family said Monday.

Leeland Eisenberg, 46, is accused of walking into the Clinton office on Friday afternoon with what appeared to be explosives strapped to his body, demanding to speak to Clinton about mental health care, authorities said.

"It was an act of desperation to try and get help," his stepson, Ben Warren, told ABC's "Good Morning America" Monday.

Eisenberg was scheduled to be arraigned Monday on charges of kidnapping, criminal threatening and fraudulent use of a bomb-like device. The five-hour crisis ended peacefully, after all the hostages were released and Eisenberg walked out to surrender.

His wife, Lisa Warren, told Foster's Sunday Citizen her husband had been binge-drinking for three weeks and desperately wanted help with his problem. She had filed for divorce on Tuesday, and the couple were due to for a domestic violence hearing shortly after Eisenberg allegedly walked into the Clinton office on Friday.

She said Eisenberg saw a televised Clinton campaign ad where a man said the senator helped him when an insurance company refused to pay for his son's medical treatment.

"I still love him, I'm still here and I wish there was something I could have done and that I'm sorry that it ended up this way," Warren told ABC.

The couple have been married for about 1 1/2 years.

"When he was on his medication he was always making me laugh, he spoiled me," she said. "It was perfect in my eyes. But without the medication and (with) the use of the alcohol, he turned into a different person."

Warren said previously she learned after they married that Eisenberg had a troubled past that included a lawsuit against the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston alleging a priest sexually abused him.

His past may have contributed to his problems with alcohol, she said.

"No one could have prevented this unless they knew exactly what was happening," Warren told the newspaper. "I hope that he gets the help he needs, and I'm glad that no one got hurt."
