We tried that.... several times during that particular summer!

It wouldn't stop coming back.

And black snakes are good because they are non poisonous, fight poisonous snakes, and eat rats and mice and shit like that.

And as I said earlier, I didn't like killing it.

George tried to get it out with a 4 pronged heavy duty metal rake ( It was pinned between the prongs ) and it kept lunging at him.

I cut it's head off with a shovel before it could get George.

Not a happy memory, but it happened.
