When the WWE amended their Wellness Policy to prohibit it's workers from "slipping through the cracks," they also offered to put any former Superstar through rehab if they were having problems. Until today no former superstar had taken them up on the current offer. Reports had surfaced in the past that active superstars had been sent to rehab by WWE. Randy Orton had also been sent to an anger managment course in Atlanta, Georgia by the WWE early last year.

A story that broke today reports that WWE Legend Jake "The Snake" Roberts has taken WWE's offer and is entering rehab, to be paid for by World Wrestling Entertainment.

Roberts has long been known for his use of alcohol and other drugs, and has in the past attempted to clean up, but has regressed each time.

"Baby Doll" Nickla Roberts, the ex-wife of The Snake's brother, Sam Houston, informed Legends Championship Wrestling that Roberts was placed in a nine-week rehab program by World Wrestling Entertainment on Monday December 10, 2007. Then today Jake Robert's official myspace page stated that Roberts did indeed enter a Drug Rehabilitation program on Monday. The whereabouts were of course kept hidden.
