  • 1. I can understand how after Judas Mesias's lukewarm reception at his introduction that you might still want to plow forward and try and build him up. But after receiving a deteriorating fan response with each use of the guy, especially after last night's re-introduction where fans chanted 'Judas sucks' as he attacked Abyss from behind for the umpteenth time, one would think that you would wisen up and dump the guy. He's unimpressive no matter how much you build him up. It's really not wise to try and return (without prepping the audience) to an angle that's been on hold for over two months that the audience really didn't give a shit about to begin with. Which leads me to:
  • 2. Stop with the supernatural/monster gimmicks. The fans aren't buying them. They're tired of Black Reign, who is also stuck in a stupid loop of just doing the same boring shit over and over again. They don't give a shit about Rellik (yes, it's killer spelled backwards. How clever of you! Don't have Don 'Shitstain' West keep reminding us of it.). See above about Mesias. Face it. The only monster gimmick that's working is Abyss's. That has a lot to do with how talented the guy is. The rest suck. Get rid of them.
  • 3. The past two weeks, some jackass from NASCAR has been at the announce table for one match each show. In those very brief moments, he's done an exceptionally better job than Don West has the entire time you've employeed him. What the fuck do you think that says?
  • 4. The Feast of Fired gimmick match was an interesting idea. Holding off until the next Impact to reveal who gets what is a little bothersome, but I can understand the reasoning. Making the audience wait yet another week after that is bullshit. Changing the rules after the fact and having a match where the winner can opt out by taking a $50,000 check or choosing which case he wants again is gay. I'll admit that the send up you guys did of Deal or No Deal was pretty funny. Steiner and Williams sold it to perfection. And Daniels being fired was pretty unexpected with him doing a superb job of selling the emotion. But all that could have been done last week without the additional match.
  • 5. It's good that you gave Petey a shot at the Heavyweight title. Too bad that we all know that you're never going to build that as you've pretty much blocked off the title to a certain group of wrestler right now. Hopefully, you'll at least give Petey the same kind of push you did with Kaz, who you also wouldn't build for his title match, next week when we know that you're just going to throw him into the ring with Angle.
  • 6. I'm actually enjoying the Christian vs. the Angle Alliance storyline that you've got going. Don't fuck it up.

8. Karen Angle's face is hard on the eyes and her voice is painful to the ears.

9. Knock it off with replaying a move we just saw a second ago. It's distracting.

10. If AJ Styles isn't going to do anything when he comes to ringside, keep him away from ringside. He can scratch his chin and look angst-ridden from the ramp. Let the in-ring talent have the ring area.

Actually, I could see Raven tying into the Kaz/ Reign/ Rellik thing. Realizing he's out of his element with those two, Kaz reluctantly goes to the one man who might have some insight into how those two think- his former mentor Raven. However, Raven's not going to make it easy; Kaz has to EARN Raven's help. Let the mind games begin.

The angle with Kaz, or the angle(s?) with Black Reign?

Scott Steiner is wrestling for the X Division Title.

Yeah, that makes sense. A guy so roided up he can barely move vs. Jay Lethal.

Really, what is the point of that division again?

Either make it a lightheavyweight/crusierweight division, or do away with it.

Actually, Steiner can wrestle again. He's even been doing Frankensteiners on people. And I like the idea of not having a weight limit. Samoa Joe had a good run as X Division champ.

So if there isn't a weight limit, what is the point of the title and division? What seperates the belt from the regular World Title?

I don't really view it as a cruiserweight division. More like the WCW US title. It's a title with a little less prestige but still an important placement for wrestlers.

I've always seen the X Division as more geared towards a specific style of wrestling. more fast paced, high flying, etc. now granted, that style is generally geared more towards cruiserweights, but it can also allow for heavier competitors to come in and have some good matches without silly weight considerations.

see Samoa Joe. this also allows for the potentiality of say a Rob Van Dam or a Sabu, just as a for instance to have an opportunity to step into that division and have showcase matches. in a cruiserweight division they would be too heavy for that.

now Steiner, I won't say he's been great, but he has improved a lot over his disastrous E run of a few years ago. he has a high enough profile and enough personality that if used right, he could draw attention back towards the division. assuming it was done right. I know, I know. . .

actually, I will disagree here. this worked as an example of AJ's inability to choose sides in the Angle/Cage conflict perfectly. having AJ head reluctantly down to the ring and NOT be able to interfere due to his indecisiveness is an excellent play on the standard takes.

much like the X Division lumberjack match was an excellent inversion of the standard "lumberjacks ganging up on one guy" concept. that was well done.

if they keep Cage as a separate, then he should be a real tweener, with no allies on either side. not a face or a heel, but really alone. that's gonna be hard to do, but I think he planted the seeds for that this week.

assuming he's not setting Angle up for the ultimate swerve to have the Alliance turn on him and cost him the title at the last moment.

I actually doubt they're going to use Steiner in the X Division. Most likely, he's going to chase Petey and get the Heavyweight shot and leave Petey with the X Division bid.

Agreed. It was good storytelling. After all, it wasn't like it was during the actual match. It was the post-match beat down. Everything is pretty much fair play at that point.

yeah, that's what I gathered from his promo. but I'd actually rather have it the way it currently is. at least it would be different. you know Petey would have a great match with Angle and Steiner would be a good test for Lethal.
