I just got in from looking at the stars tonight. They are beautiful.
I can't see them anywhere near as well as I could at the farm...
There, it was like being at a planetarium every clear, moonless night...
But, they were still a magnificent sight.
Just think.. the nearest star to Earth is Alpha Centauri... it's 4.5 light years away... a light year is about 5.6 trillion miles... damn, that's far away!
So far away..yet, the light from the stars reaches us...no matter how many dozens, hundreds, thousands or millions of years it takes.
