Naw...my son's name is Nick. My ex-wife hated comics (I guess opposites do attract) and wanted to name our son some lame hairdresser name like "Sebastian" or some such shit. I put my foot down and said that if it's a boy, I'm namin' it. After much debatin' (I came up with a couple of names that I enjoyed, but my ex despised, like "Spot", "Rover", "Kid", etc.,), I decided to name him after my favorite Marvel Comics character, that gold-brickin' yahoo, Sgt. Nicholas Fury. My ex bought it, that is until the delivery.... There, on the table, in a scene resembling somethin' from "The Exorcist", lay my ex and our new born son. They came along with the birth certificate and asked what shall the child's name be. I blurt out "Nicholas...", but before I get to the "Fury" (for his middle name), my ex shoots me a look that coulda burned holes in seel. Thinkin' fast, I realized that my ex's maiden name was Murray (hey, it rhymes wit' "Fury"), and we used that for his middle name, which seemed to please my ex. So my son's given name is Nicholas Murray Conn. I also toyed for awhile at the prospect of naming him "Benjamin Joesph Conn"...y'know...like the ever-lovin', blue-eyed Thing.... Now my ex hates me for it, because everytime she says my son's name, she has to think of comics....and plus I've taught him to say "Wah-Hoo!" everytime he runs into a room... ------------------
