since morrison left JLA, the book drifted back to almost like a silver age lull. stories were pretty lame, art was pretty (very) lame, they brought in a few new characters, spread everyone around... there just really isn't much to it, with very few exceptions in the run (i'd ignore most any writing for s'more bryan hitch jla art, though)
the new, new jla title with the new count, i actually really liked. granted, i'm probably about 6 issues, if not more, behind (i think i'm on... 8?) but i've enjoyed it. really great art (benes is/was the best thing to hit jla since morrison) cool characterization, interested vantages and pairings and perspectives. it doesn't really provide the "oh, shit!!" momments that the 90s run did, but... its almost an unfair comparison, with the earlier run being amongst the all time best.
