Malcolm X didn't say that it was the system of democracy in general that was hypocritical. He said it was American democracy that was hypocritical--And he was right. He'd be even more right if he said it today since its the favor of groups rather than individuals that socialists ask for. Even if I didn't agree with him, you've totally missed the point of my praise of Malcolm X (since I wrote out the reason previously, I'll attribute that to your dyslexia). I don't have to agree with his political views to know that he was honest, egoist, and that he saw right through the radical bullshit put out by the left at the time. He disliked both the right and the left alike, but he recognized the socialists to be the true liars in their attempt to pander to people like himself.

Why not? You've obviously turned a cheek to the fact Malcolm X was a criminal and hated white people. Plus, he associated with a few fanatics himself. When he got out of prison, he didn't commit any crimes. He was rehabilitated. Indeed, he associated with fanatics. Then, when he learned they were fanatical themselves, he turned on them. I already mentioned earlier in the thread that he eventually amended his views about white people. Each turning point in his life was a lesson of honesty. Even if I didn't agree with everything he said, he was still a principled individual who deserves more respect as an activist than King.
