Geezus, guys, can you take it to some other thread, preferably the two or three that we already have about immigration? The Politico reports Huckabee appointed some of his benefactors to various state posts. A spokesperson says any overlap between those who gave gifts and received appointments is just "a coincidence."

MSNBC correspondent David Shuster has predicted that Mike Huckabee will be the next President of the United States: - I'm gonna say that John Edwards is gonna win out in Iowa, but Hillary Clinton is going to pick up some steam afterwards and get the nomination. I think Mike Huckabee wins Iowa pretty cleanly and goes on to get the Republican nomination. Here's my big prediction, though: if it is Hillary Clinton [which Shuster predicted] against Mike Huckabee, Mike Huckabee will the the next President of the United States.

Huckabee quips about gun aimed at Obama- Mike Huckabee responded to an offstage noise during his speech to the National Rifle Association by suggesting it was Barack Obama diving to the floor because someone had aimed a gun at him.
Hearing a loud noise and interrupting his speech, Huckabee said: "That was Barack Obama. He just tripped off a chair. He's getting ready to speak and somebody aimed a gun at him and he—he dove for the floor."
There were only a few murmurs in the crowd after the remark.
The Obama campaign had no comment.
What a fucking moron. I hope the secret service reams him out good. On the bright side, this means his chances of being McCain's VP probably just went from slim to none.

you people are really dumb to politics. Huckabee is being the hatchet guy, he'll keep NRA types and social conservatives focused on Obama's negatives, he's doing his job. McCain runs as a centrists, so he cant really do this himself.
I'm sure Huckabee knew that their are a lot of bleeding heart liberals that would cry over this, but they are gunna vote for Obama anyways because he has promised to save the world.
