I'm sure you realize there is this stereotype of conservatives as being anti-intellectualism.
In that context, isn't the designation "Intellectual" moreso a kind of partisan movement as opposed to an actual summation of a person's intellect?
Just because you dub your group "Pragmatists" or "Intellectuals" that doesn't necessarily make you pragmatic or intelligent.
