So if you came into DC after The Crisis, what you were getting was essentially 2 decades of a facsimile Legion with it's heart literally torn out.
That's why I didn't care about the Legion. I knew Superman(boy) was somehow supposed to be a part of the team, but he wasn't. So why bother? I cared more about Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man back then. Interest in the JLA came later.
