Reeve was one of several actors to play the role, and it's been over 20 years since his last film. I find it unhealthy that DC clings to this one "iconic" portrayal of Superman instead of trying to do new and equally noteworthy interpretations.
DC and Marvel in general seems unhealthy these days. It's like they're promoting this 80's retro, saying repeatedly that any change over the last two decades was a mistake and that death and marriages and any evolution is bad.
