I saw the premiere w/ my daughter. We both loved it! Really rates up there as One of the better Super-hero films ever done!

Just saw this movie today and I gotta say it sucked balls!
Downey can't act worth a shit. They should've given the part to Sandler.
Paltrow is a dog and you people should have your eyes examined if you think she's hot!
Daniels was horrible as the villain as he is in everything he does.
The special effects were such crap. The robots looked like puppets and some places it looked like close up shots of action figures.
The story was simple and predictable and poorly paced. There was no human drama or comedy in this movie.
The only good part of this movie was the final scene where they revealed Fury as a one eyed black man portrayed by the underused Sam Jackson. the only better choice for Furry would've been Carlos Mencia. I'm also glad they put this at the end of the credits 'cause I love setting through credits.
Overall this movie sucked and I hope Hollywood doesn't learn a thing from this movie.

So I finally got around to seeing this one.
It was EPIC. The acting, casting, story and special effects were terrific.
I was worried that Tony's life altering experience would make him a pussy,
but he shot-up the terrorists real good! I'm glad that this one didn't
turn into a hand-wringing cry session about the value of life and not killing,
and all that bullshit the Batman writers (and most comic book writers) would go on and on about. I'm also relieved that the movie didn't become like Fantastic Four 2, with their anti-US military spin.
Some blood and guts killings would have been nice, but I understand a "R" rating would have hurt the box office numbers.

http://blog.wired.com/underwire/2008/06/iron-mans-repul.html With the Incredible Hulk tracking surprisingly well and threatening to smash Iron Man's box office records next weekend, director Jon Favreau is keeping Tony Stark and company in the news by hinting at the plot of the Iron Man sequel.
When the original film made mention of the terrorist organization The 10 Rings, it was a clear reference to Marvel history and the alien artifacts The Mandarin discovered before beginning his career of oppression and supervillainy. It seemed like a pretty obvious clue from Favreau and his writers that Iron Man's arch-nemesis would appear in a sequel.
Now, with the director saying he needs "heavy duty, heavyweight bad guys" to confront Iron Man in the next film, Mandarin seems all but a lock. There's no mention of casting yet for the Far Eastern troublemaker, but that will have to break soon, as Robert Downey Jr. will be ready to begin filming in the golden titanium suit again when he finishes the Hugh Hefner biography he's working on now.
