I have heard rumours, usually while at sci-fi conventions, that by releasing a plastic pin from the bodywork of the supercycle, you can pull out the side pods and transform it into the Ultra Plane.
A similar thing happens in Total Justice cartoon episode 81a 'Plant Planet pt 1' (I'm referring of course to the classic 80s TJ Cartoon - not the lame late 90s version where the Total Justice squad decide to give up coffee, on account of it being a drug, and derive all their powers from healthy eating, clean living and regular attendence at church. Is it true that this was sponsored by the republican Party ?!?)
One of my friends owns an original Supercycle, however when I asked him if I could test the Ultra Plane theory on it, he refused to remove it from it's orignal packaging or even expose it to daylight.
Recently I have managed to get my mits on a second-hand Supercycle and it's a quality toy. They built them to last in those days.
I notice that on the underside of my supercycle there appears to be a loose square-shaped piece of plastic embedded in the bodywork, just above the exhaust. It looks like it could be some kind of release button. I have tried to press it, but it doesn't seem to want to give. I have also attempted to draw it out from the bike, however I have been unable to get anything bigger than a small needle into the gap between the button and bodywork.
If the rumours about the cycle are true, then is it also true that this feature was only included in the first few production runs (which if I remember rightly sold out in record time and caused riots in toy shops) and was then withdrawn from manufacture because the cost of making it were too high?
On the subject of the Total Justice action figures, I have always wondered why they were not made to scale. Why is Cowharmer the same size as Jailbait - in the cartoon he towers over her. Also why does the driver's compartment of the Mega Tank have room for only one action figure. In the cartoon, it clearly seats three, the middle passenger firing the force cannon and thunder missles.
