We're at war with a group of limp dicked internet nerds who approach Starheart on the douchery scale. That's essentially it.

I was looking more for impetus or motivation...

Everyone on the internet is a douche, to some extent.

I'm just trying to understand the 'internet war' culture. I have a hard enough time understanding realtime people. Why do you do it? Simple disagreements? Is it fun? It just seems that people are seeking strife by participating. I just want to understand the mindset. From the outside, most people (real and virtual) seem to fall into the same categories of what they rail against, using the same tactics as their enemies, all the while crying foul at instigation and/or reciprocation. It seems to me a purely manufactured drama, where people who would likely be quite cordial to one another in realtime, if not downright friendly, treat each other as would etherial electronic cavemen. Is it the natural human desire to have the last word, coupled with the lack of realistic threat of a punch to the face?

Why don't people pay for philosophy anymore? I should start charging...

Second, it has to be for fun 'cause, realistically, nothing is going to come of this. They'll still be the assholes they are and we'll still be the friendlier sort who don't think it's acceptable to make crude sexual jokes about a friend's newborn baby daughter.

Third, if a person doesn't stand for something, they'll fall for anything. Trite, I know and I did read it on a church sign as I was driving by, but they insulted the hell out of whomod via his daughter and I'm doing my part to stick up for and support a friend. Nothing more.

I get the 'getting your homies' backs' thing. That's respectable.

I don't get the fun factor, though... To be honest, there isn't much that I do find fun. I'm in constant 'dabble' mode whenever I do things...

For me it's fun when I see one of those idiots flounder or make an ass out of it which everyone but their click can see.

I also think it's fun seeing all my peeps come together to flame a bunch of stupid assholes. For example, JT and Andrew have had a couple of real zingers overthere.

They really are a bunch of self-important gas bags, aren't they? It's fun for me to verbally beat the shit out of these jerk-offs because they prey on the weak and the defenseless...or in whomod's case, they outnumber and outshout him. Physically beating the shit out of those type of people is pretty satisfying, too...but not very likely in this case. These tools are, in short, bullies. And bullies don't stop until you punch 'em in the face.

My favorite thus far was Mr.Andrew's. One of the dickheads overthere comes on and makes some not funny crack (which only those dingleberries would find amusing) so Mr.Andrew goes "Agh, a faggot. Qucik! Step on him!". Had me rolling for about 10 minutes.

I'm told that Halo can't shut up about you over there, Joe. If I were you, I'd be fat. But also worried.
