This might just be my interpretation, but I think you're taking Halo's usage of the term "hack" too literally. I think he just means it as "having access to something you shouldn't" or at least something he tried to keep you away from. I don't think he necessarily believes you Sandra Bullocked your way in there...
I really don't know what Blowmetheus' hacking skills are but I'm thinking more than they realize.
