I understand that Uschi, rex, whoever else, might not consider their statements over the line, but the person their statements were directed toward got offended. And in this world - internet and real alike - when what you say offends someone else, you apologize.
In perfect fantasy world, where no one hates anyone else, and everyone gets along, then sure, I would agree. Unfortunately, in the real world...in reality...people say mean things all the time and no one apologizes. And, that's in the
