Like you just said, you took him seriously. Obviously you didn't get the "insufficient amount of compliments" portion of his joke, which was my point. Nobody said anything about the jugular thing.
Why wouldn't I take him seriously? He flies into hysterical rages over posts on a message board...I can only imagine how unintentionally funny he is in person.
