Depends on what you got. I've got tons of stuff that either I know won't sell or I don't want to sell. I go thru and decide what I'd like to get rid of and then see if anyone else is selling it. Chances are that if someone else has it listed, you'll be able to sell it.
Also, advertise like a bastard. I post a link on several other message boards so that as many people as possible will purposely see the items...rather than just wait for buyers to stumble across them.
My last round, I sold 12 out of 13 items and half of them did a lot better than I expected. The rest sold for a little more than list price but, as I was trying to get rid of them, it was cool.
