I've been instructed to testify. So I'm giving my testimony.

I am KnitWit, as several of you probably already know. I am Iggy's girlfriend. Throughout all of the Insurgency, since I registered, I've only been a member. I've never looked over Iggy's shoulder when he was in Admin CP, or known about much of what went on behind closed doors. I just knew what I saw when I was logged in as myself.

With the raid here, I only know that it had to do with someone making jokes about whomod's daughter, and people defending him. When I got to looking around, it didn't really look like something borne from defending a friend. (Much like the Bush-Afghanistan-Iraq-Iran thing!) But whatever. I just read a little, and raised my eyebrows a bit at the drama.

I found out some comments had been made concerning me, and flipped. Made dumb posts trying to defend myself, to no avail, and gave up. I realized it's just the internet and it doesn't really matter. So I got over it. However, I seemed to be the only one (besides Iggy) who thought in this manner.

Eventually, somehow, I don't know the details, the Insurgency got angry at Iggy. He de-admined everyone, for a reason I didn't know, and when I found out I asked if it was okay to re-admin them. He gave me permisson, and the password to the Insurgency Admin CP, and I looked around trying to re-admin who'd been de-admined. Zzap, being ever so kind and sweet and gentle, guided and coaxed me step by step into re-root-admining him. He even mentioned how lovely he thought my art was, and how much he really cared about me and would give me his phone number so I could call him whenever I needed to talk. How sweet!

After I re-root-admined Zzap, I left to hang out with a friend. When I got back, a few hours later, I found that my KnitWit account had been deleted, and Iggy's IP address had been banned for the next eleven years. Iggy took over when he got home from work, and I don't know exactly how, but got back onto the boards, only to discover that our accounts/IP hadn't been deleted/banned on accident. No, everyone (especially Zzap) seemed to have been planning to use me the whole time. When I confronted Zzap, he avoided the issue and ran away from the Insurgency.

Now, I've re-registered and started looking around, although a lot of the posts have been deleted. I might stick around there, I might stick around here, I might not. I guess it depends on when my real life allows me to waste time on the internet and joke around with strangers from half-way across the world.

And that's my story.

He told me he'd already given Iggy his number a long time ago, and would be glad to re-give it to me if I needed. Didn't even give me time to respond to that message. I don't know what possessed him, Zzap's such a loving character! I always believe every word he says, and of course he doesn't take the internet too seriously! Poor Zzap is always on the losing team... poor Zzap must have gotten taken over by evil robots.

My boobies are RKMB-shy and camera-shy. I probably wouldn't be able to coax them to make an appearance 'round here. Sorry.

Thanks for the welcome, all of you. Even though my first post was sopping with sarcasm (alliteration! ha!), I did mean it when I said I might hang around here, might hang around at the former insurgency board. I've never really posted often at forums, in the first place, so if I stick around I'll just make appearances every now and then, when I feel like killing time online.

I will say that the RKMBs seem like a much more interesting forum than the insurgency ever was. Probably has something to do with the lot of you knowing not to take all of this so seriously. But that's just a theory.
