For a long time, Marinaro could not go back to Cornell for team reunions because there was a warrant for his arrest in Ithaca due to unpaid parking tickets. He insisted they weren't his and wouldn't pay them. Finally, a local alum paid them, when Ed was scheduled to come back for some big event and the local paper reported the warrant was still in effect. When he finally did come back, he jokingly told the newspaper that it was his mom's car and he thought she'd paid them.
