Also, if you start factoring in "real life", you can't really say the Australian was "left alive," and further, given their respective political views, I'd say Gary Oldman is more of an American than Maggie Gyllenhaal at this point. ;\)


Morgan Freeman was fired. And I'm counting events controlled by the film makers, not events which happened off-screen.
And last I checked his wikipedia page says:
