Braden Walker, we had already heard about.
Big Daddy V is not real surprise.
Cant even remember the last time we saw Nick Patrick.
Shannon Moore has been the victim of Jimmy Wang Yangs suspension, as he was getting a push as tag partner to Yang, but since Yangs return, Yang has gone back to jobber status and Moore completely forgotten.
Domino...it was only a matter of time after they split him up from Deuce.
Nunzio is sort of a surprise as he seemed almost ingrained into the WWE's jobber ranks like Funaki.
And who the fuck is James Curtis?

If rumours are true, at least two more people might be added to this list soon.
Hardcore Holly and Mick Foley.

Funny about Shannon Moore there as him and Yang wrestled Hawkins and Ryder last night on Smackdown(which was taped I'm guessing on Tuesday). It's a shame they got rid of the Cruiserweight/light heavyweight division as guys like Moore,Yang,Jamie Noble and so on don't really have a prayer of getting any real title shots outside of the tag team belts, which have long since lost the prestige they once had.
I don't figure it honestly. They create some crap "Divas" belt for Smackdown but let some really talented wrestlers languish forever in jobber/mid-card status til they're either released or just quit.

Shannon Moore pre-emted this announcement with his own announcement on his MySpace page.
That could be taken as him being highly displeased (unsurprisingly) or could be an indication that he asked for his release.

Yeah, if I remember correctly, Foley is just riding it out as his contract expires on September 1.

I would be surprised if they let Holly go. I know he has gotten in some trouble backstage, but he has always struck me as one of those guys who would be working the front office in Stamford when his in-ring career ended.

As for James Curtis (aka KC James): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kasey_James

Ah yeah, I remember when he was tag teaming with Idol Stevens and Michelle McCool was their manager!

From what I looked up on OWW, he has been a jobber in ECW recently, and I rarely bother watching that show!

I can't wait to see if Chris Harris goes crawling back to TNA. He is out of shape and obviously has gained a major ego because of his TNA "push." Now, he's just another come and go WWE developmental guy. If he is smart, he will go to Japan.

From what I remember, he bad mouthed TNA after he left, so he might be in the same situation as Kid Kash, who would have trouble going back.
But then again, I think Frankie Kazarian did the same, but not sure on that.

And the latest cull continues
 Quote:
The following is an article from WWE.com:

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstars Stevie Richards and Colin Delaney, Raw tag team Robbie & Rory of The Highlanders, SmackDown Diva Cherry, and WWE referee Wes Adams as of Aug. 15, 2008. WWE wishes them the best in all their future endeavors.

Not really surprised that Stevie has finally been let go, as WWE have not really known how to use him since the Right to censor split.
They have tried a few things, but nothing that lasted.

Delaney is a surprise as he has been pushed quite heavily on ECW since his debut.

The Highlanders returned to Raw this week, and now they are gone.
Not the biggest surprise, but its strange that they returned this week only to be released days later.

Cherry is another non surprise.
After they split her from Deuce and Domino, and she just didnt look good in wrestling matches or promos, she was never gonna last long.
She aint been seen for a while now anyway!

And as for the ref.
Who cares?

Huh....the way they had been sorta pushing Cherry up 'til the last couple of weeks,I thought she'd stick around a bit longer and likely latch on to somebody as eye candy or turn heel and be a distraction/interference causer.

You can only push up on cherry so long, then you really gotta release.

They were pushing her during this whole Diva championship thing, then just vanished.
Must be nearly a month since she was last on screen!

WWE announced today that it was laying off ten percent of its work force.

As part of this, WWE wishes Bam Neely, D'Lo Brown, Val Venis, Tim White, Jimmy Korderas, and Kevin Thorn the all the best in their future endeavors.

Of all of these, I think Tim White and Val Venis are the only ones that are really surprising. Tim was well liked and a producer and Sean Morley was always looked at like he was going to be one of the boys that would eventually cross over to the office for his years of service.

Well that was a nice long innings for D'Lo.

They did a single promo for him about a month or so back, then apparently Vince pulled the idea!

Shame, cause Vansen is a pretty decent wrestler.

In a sad note, Jimmy Korderas' release on Friday coincided with the death of his father on the very same day. Korderas was removed from his position as referee a while ago due to health concerns. Korderas was training for some different positions behind the scenes before he was let go.

Wow. Bob Holly just bit the bullet, too. He was another one of those that I thought might end up with an office gig when he retired for being a committed lifer to the WWE. It has been a great fifteen years, Sparky Plugg!

Its been rumoured for a while that he would be on the way out.
The big clue was the fact there was absolutely no follow on for Rhodes turning on him!

Yeah, I remember him getting into some shit backstage that caused them to shelve him since Rhodes turned. Anybody remember what it was he did or whether that was talked about in the dirt sheets?

I dont think WWE will survive this one:
 Quote:
Source: PWInsider.com

-- It has been confirmed that Hollywood actor, writer and producer Freddie Prinze, Jr. has parted ways with World Wrestling Entertainment. Prinze had been working under Michael Hayes on the creative team for SmackDown.

Internally, Prinze's departure from the company is not being seen as much of a surprise as he had attended very few television tapings in recent weeks. One wrestler said he hadn't noticed Prinze at a television taping in about two months.

We never got any feedback on how Prinze was doing on the creative team, but he was well liked by the wrestlers since he is such a huge fan of the industry.

The actor joined the company last July after attending several major WWE events in the years prior.
