Star Wars. While the original trilogy was good, the mass merchandising/parodizing of every part of it is completely unoriginal.
You do realise it was probably the first movie to ever really do merchandising on that kind of level, meaning it was very original when it came to that?
Yeah, there had been merchandising before, with all sorts of things from Batman, to Star Trek to James Bond, but up until Star Wars, nobody had done it on a level compared to what Star Wars did.
Todays merchandising, owes a lot to the Star Wars merchandising of the 70s and 80s.
