5. Batman and Batman Returns directed by Tim Burton. 1st Batman: Pretty good but could have been better, if the writer's strike hadn't stopped Sam Hamm from finishing the original script. (With Dent becoming Two-Face, Batman not killing Joker and with Robin at the end.) Batman Returns: Batman became too much of a Punisher-style hero. Should have had Two-Face and the return of Joker. Pretty good as a Tim Burton film.

4. Titanic. Prometheus and others have made the perfect explanation.

3. I'm not there. (Todd Haynes.) Pretentious, artsy-fartsy... Read the rest in my review.

2. The Matrix trilogy. Liked the 1st film, but isn't that ground-breaking if you've read Philip K. Dick or William Gibson. This trilogy is to Cyberpunk what Star Wars is to Space Opera, but Star Wars is much better at that.

1. Superman Returns. I can't believe the professional critics didn't see how Supes acted like a goddamned stalker/pedophile.

"Batman is only meaningful as an answer to a world which in its basics is chaotic and in the hands of the wrong people, where no justice can be found. I think it's very suitable to our perception of the world's condition today... Batman embodies the will to resist evil" -Frank Miller

"Conan, what's the meaning of life?"
"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women!"
-Conan the Barbarian

"Well, yeah."
-Jason E. Perkins

"If I had a dime for every time Pariah was right about something I'd owe twenty cents."
-Ultimate Jaburg53

"Fair enough. I defer to your expertise."
-Prometheus
