Say Rockstar, superb creators of all the GTA games, say they're branching out into free-roaming Super-hero games that will deliver definitive experiences for the characters for the next-gen consoles Dont worry yourself with convolution or fighting combo's, they guarentee an Ultimate experience, just as good as the GTA games, but even better because its next-gen and super-heroics Only single characters, no teams, and all kinds of different shit for each different characters, like unlockable free-roaming areas for Superman might be Metropolis, Kandor, and the Negative zone, while for Spider-man it'd be completely different, with New York, the Savage land, and somewhere else I cant think of. For Supes it'd be kicking the shit out of Super-villains, destroying half the fucking city in the process [no magical respawns!] and tracking Lex Luthor and Darkseids plans, while for Spider-man it'd be visiting the Fantastic Four, trying to stop your loved ones being killed by a Goblin, and choosing whether or not to change the story slightly being kicking the shit out of J. Jonah. Jameson ULTIMATE GAMING EXPERIENCE! Which 3 characters do you choose to have games based on 'em, and why?

The Punisher, Nick Fury, and John Constantine. All would make good free-roaming action/"adventure" games.

I think if there was a super hero who used his good looks for not evil that would be a good game. He would tell the bad guys that being not good looking is no reason to be not a good guy or something.

Mine are a little more mainstream
1] Batman
Exploring the the whole of Gotham City aswell as unlocking the Twin Cities and Metropolis would work for me. Picking anything from the jet, the car, the boat or even the subway to get to a crime-scene. Crooks trying to steal the Bat-mobile. being chased by the Cops. I wouldnt mind amping him up and unleashing some lethal violence aswell. Like Splinter cell and Metal gear Solid but with a little more ass-kicking and some vehicles
2] Thor
Mincing it up with powerful super-villains. Exploring Asgard. Losing your rag and destroying half a city with elemental powers. Blugeoning foul Midgardian devils with a giant Hammer or Axe. Perhaps some cool shit worked in about him ruling Asgard aswell seen as he's the King and all, like GTA San Andreas where you could take over new hoods
3] Punisher
Was thinking about Ultimate Captain America and the prospect of pummelling people to death with an unbreakable shield. like-wise with Nick Fury, that bastards such a blank slate that you could do anything in the game....Still, a free-roaming Punisher game where you wage THE ultimate war on crime would be fucking amazing

Most excellent--Especially the lethal violence. One of the reasons I disliked the Spiderman games so much is that you didn't have that kind of absolute freedom to beat up some random mook on the street. A karma meter would be so cool. It shows how evil or how good Batman is and depending on the frequency/infrequency he'd either have cops on his ass all the time or get more respect from them--EVEN BETTER! If Batman is known to kill a lot more throughout the game, the criminals will more afraid of him without him having to work to put fear in them, but the cops will try to waste him all the time (and Alfred will prolly disappove to). But if Batman is known not to kill, the cops will actually help him out even the criminals get more dangerous.

Videogames aren't books. When I'm playing a game, I look to gameplay more than I do integrity. Sometimes this depends on the game, but in the case of friggin' huge Gotham City map, I want to have the option to off some people and cause property damage.

 Like a Light-side/Dark-side meter from the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games? That would make the game a fucking classic. Not that hard for the publishers to achieve, and it'd add so much more replayability to the game. Perhaps even a Mercenaries/Metal Gear 4 system based on respect. Helping the same gang out a few times would earn you credit with them and they wouldnt fire on you or piss you off anymore, however that gangs main rivals would also amp up their efforts to kill you, thinking you have sided with their enemies. It couldnt be played up too much because Batman isn't a gangster, but it'd be fucking sweet
One of the key things in the latest Batman; Begins game [even though it was shit], was the Fear Meter. Like the kill rate and fear you inspire, but on a lower level. Tripping alarms in a criminal hide-out, showing them your shadow, or even using sonic waves to send Bats their way would scare the shit out of the criminals, making them easier to disarm and take out. It couldn't be implemented all the time because it'd take too much damn time trying to scare everyone before beating on them, but using it in certain area's, like Arkham Asylum, would be very entertaining
And yeah, you've got to be able to waste some innocents and stuff, thats one of the main things that infuriated me in Spider-man 2. You can do it in the latest free-roaming Hulk game, so you've got to be able to torture some civilians

You know, they should make video games where the object ISN'T to cause as much mayhem and perversion as possible. Like a game where you can make a difference in the community in a fun and intelligent fashion.

I think there are already games like that, Sims, for example(and not counting the main goals that will advance the game, you can play GTA as a law abiding citizen-follow traffic rules, don't jack cars and murder citizens etc). It's the game players who usually play the game with the intent of causing mayhem and destruction. Probably because it's more fun. I mean, I can make a difference in the community in a fun and intelligent fashion, so if I really want to, I'm going to do it in real life. When I get hold of a controller I just want to smack some bitches up and burn villages.

I think he means a game where it's more rewarding to do good instead of just giving it as an option.
