I'm disappointed in you, SOM. The correct response would have been:
"IN THE ASS"
Turn in your badge and empty out your desk.

Too late. I've already notified Human Resources. Don't make me call security.

The original direction's been gutted. And it looks like the film is moving ahead of the book in terms of pace: it's only the second part and the government's already shut down the patent office.
I'm not too cranky about the cast change. I just wish they could have at least kept the guy who originally played Rearden--and the original Eddie Willers would have been nice too.
Something I hope they change is Taggert becoming all dreamy-eyed over Galt. It's one thing to appreciate him and his cause, but I thought it was pretty stupid how she switched from D'anconia to Rearden to Galt without so much as a "I think we should see other people". I'd expect that kind of attitude from Dominique Francon ala Fountainhead, but it just didn't fit with Dagny.

im3, dkr, and this. gettin tired of "i am bad guy with a plan about how i cann destroy your world and stuff" voice over trailers. cynicals see heroism as an illusion. we get it.
Looks like they might be going for a Khan/Mitchell mash-up. Plus, the chick has a Sally Kellerman look to her.

Everything I see about this doesn't make me want to see it.
