You do know that Kim Davis is a Democrat... don't you?

Why yes. I knew that she ran as a democrat even before you "trotted" it out repeatedly. G-man is apparently unaware of that though, lol. I think we all know she's more of a conservative hero at this point though. Huckabe and Cruz didn't rush down there in an effort to be bipartisan.

The issue you're trying to distract from is that Kim Davis is, in fact, a Democrat.

And further, Huckabee clearly stated that he was there to stand for what was right, regardless of party lines. Huckabee as well made clear that Kim Davis is a Democrat, whose religious freedom he was there to support, regardless of her party affiliation.

No distraction was needed or attempted on my part WB. I suspect G-man however was attempting that with his accusation of "mem does it too". You are trying to use the word freedom but what you actually want is for Davis to be able to impose her will and beliefs on others. If freedom is the principle than how was it right for her to order her clerks not to follow the law even if they wanted to?

It was less an attempt at distraction and more bemusement at the irony (described and noted previously).

Also, if you re-read this thread I think you'll see my opinion of Davis' actions is probably closer to yours than it is to WB's.

I cannot speak exactly to Davis's party affiliation, but I think it should be pointed out that being elected as a Democrat on the local level does not mean that one is a card carrying member of the Democrat Party in the old Solid South. It is starting to trickle down to locals referring to themselves as Republicans, but still otherwise deep red areas of southern states are often times led at the local level by Democrats who are the definition of "in name only."

Yeah not really seeing what would attract her as a democrat. Given her logic being part of a party with a gay rights plank should fall into some type of endorsement on her part I would think.
