On Tuesday, hacked Democratic National Committee (DNC) files released by the Guccifer 2.0 hacker reveal circulated talking points intended to combat the Clinton Cash revelation that the former head of the Russian uranium company UraniumOne, Ian Telfer, made four undisclosed Clinton Foundation donations totaling $2.35 million—a clear violation of Hillary Clinton’s ethics agreement with the Obama administration to disclose all donations.
In an April 29, 2015 memo titled “Friends and Allies Talking Points—Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership (CGEP),” Clinton surrogates were instructed to respond to questions about undisclosed foreign donations by Ian Telfer, a Canadian, accordingly:
This is hardly an effort on the Foundation’s part to avoid transparency. In fact, the main donor noted in the Post article as contributing to CGEP (Canada) — Canadian businessman Ian Telfer — was also disclosed as a Foundation donor. So the fact of his status as a Foundation contributor was not at all a secret.
However, as Clinton Cash reported, and the New York Times reported in a 4,000-word, front-page investigative report, the former Russian uranium executive’s donations were not disclosed. “Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors,” reported the Times.
In a follow-up story, the Times quoted Clinton Foundation acting chief executive using almost identical language to the suggested talking point found in the hacked memo: “This is hardly an effort on our part to avoid transparency,” said Pally. Pally went on to cite Canadian tax rules as the reason for the discrepancy. But as the Times reported:
However, interviews with tax lawyers and officials in Canada cast doubt on assertions that the partnership was necessary to confer a tax benefit; an examination shows that for many donors it was not needed, and in any event, since 2010, Canadians could have donated to the foundation directly and received the same tax break. Also, it is not at all clear that privacy laws prohibit the partnership from disclosing its donors, the tax lawyers and officials in Canada said.
The hidden $2.35 million in Clinton Foundation donations from the former Russian uranium chief were part of a larger $145 million given from nine uranium investors involved in the deal approved by Hillary Clinton to transfer 20% of all U.S. uranium to the Russian government.
To date, Hillary Clinton has not received a single question from a national journalist about her decision to transfer 20% of all U.S. uranium to Putin’s Russia as nine investors in the deal funneled $145 million to her family foundation.
This. This is good. This is shit for which Hillary should have to answer. Gary Byrne's book, on the other hand, is twenty year old GOP masturbation material. Putting the Foster family through a bunch a shit again so you can just say Vince's death "seems fishy" is a totally douchebag thing to do and makes you no better than the douchebags you claim to be so much more morally superior than. Stick to digging things out of the treasure trove that is the hack.
Ashe was due in court Monday with his Chinese businessman co-defendant Ng Lap Seng, who is charged with smuggling $4.5 million into the US since 2013 and lying that it was to buy art and casino chips.
Ng was identified in a 1998 Senate report as the source of hundreds of thousands of dollars illegally funneled through an Arkansas restaurant owner, Charlie Trie, to the Democratic National Committee during the Clinton administration. (Ng was not charged with any crime.)
Ng and Trie had visited the White House several times for Democratic fund-raising events and were photographed with then-President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton.
One source told me, “During the trial, the prosecutors would have linked Ashe to the Clinton bagman Ng. It would have been very embarrassing. His death was conveniently timed.”
More about the death below:
DOBBS FERRY, New York — A former president of the U.N. General Assembly awaiting trial in a bribery scandal died in a weightlifting accident when a barbell he was lifting from a bench dropped on his neck, an autopsy revealed Thursday.
John Ashe was declared dead late Wednesday afternoon by a paramedic who responded to his Dobbs Ferry home.
Dr. Kunjlata Ashar, Westchester County’s medical examiner, said the cause of death – traumatic asphyxia – was determined during an autopsy, though she did not perform the procedure herself and did not have additional details. It was deemed an accident based on a combination of information from the autopsy and an investigation by the Dobbs Ferry Police Department, officials said.
The police department said in a statement that the death appears accidental, but provided little information otherwise.
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell attempted to discourage Hillary Clinton and her team from using him as a scapegoat for her private email server problems, according to newly leaked emails from Powell’s Gmail account.
“Sad thing,” Powell wrote to one confidant, “HRC could have killed this two years ago by merely telling everyone honestly what she had done and not tie me to it.”
“I told her staff three times not to try that gambit. I had to throw a mini tantrum at a Hampton’s party to get their attention. She keeps tripping into these ‘character’ minefields,” Powell lamented. He noted that he had tried to settle the matter by meeting with Clinton aide Cheryl Mills in August.
Powell’s private messages were leaked by D.C. Leaks, an anonymously managed website that shares hacked emails from U.S. military and political figures. D.C. Leaks has a relationship with Guccifer 2.0, a hacker that many allege to have ties with Russian intelligence. D.C. Leaks provided access to Powell’s emails to a number of reporters on Tuesday.
The emails show Powell regularly corresponding with reporters and friends about the Clinton email server scandal, explaining that his situation was different. When Powell arrived at the State Department, the information technology system was badly dated, he argued. And unlike Clinton, Powell never set up a private server. Instead, he used his personal AOL account, on a server maintained by AOL, and used a government computer for classified communications.
“It is no secret that I used a unclassified personal email account in addition to my classified State computer,’” Powell wrote to the New York Times’ Amy Chozick. He implored the dozens of reporters and producers who emailed him to read his book, It Worked for Me: In Life and Leadership, in which he devoted an entire chapter to his efforts to revamp the State Department’s IT system.
The Clinton campaign’s effort to blur the lines between Clinton’s private email server and Powell’s AOL account left Powell deeply frustrated.
“They are going to dick up the legitimate and necessary use of emails with friggin record rules. I saw email more like a telephone than a cable machine,” Powell wrote last year to his business partner Jeffrey Leeds. “As long as the stuff is unclassified. I had a secure State.gov machine. Everything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris.”
Powell added in a tangential complaint: “I told you about the gig I lost at a University because she so overcharged them they came under heat and couldn’t any fees for awhile. I should send her a bill.”
Clinton sought Powell’s advice at a dinner on June 16, 2009 at former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s house, according to the emails. Powell gave Clinton “written guidance on why and how [he] had been doing it.” Also in attendance were former secretaries of state Condoleezza Rice, Lawrence Eagleburger, George Schultz, Warren Christopher, James Baker and Henry Kissinger.
“Dumb. She should have done a ‘Full Monty’ at the beginning,” Powell wrote. He added: “I warned her staff three times over the past two years not to try to connect it to me. I am not sure HRC even knew or understood what was going on in the basement.”
Rep. Cummings is the quintessential corrupt partisan tool, at every step of hearings regarding Benghazi, Hillary's e-mails, IRS/Lois Lerner targeting Tea Party groups, etc., always being the guy to be dismissive of any attempt to look at the facts and discern the truth as just being some partisan witch hunt. "Nothing to see here, move along..."
Liberals who bemoan discrimination, intolerance, restraint of Constitutional freedoms, and promotion of hatred toward various abberant minorities, have absolutely no problem with discriminating against, being intolerant of, restricting Constitutional freedoms of, and directing hate-filled scapegoat rhetoric against conservatives.
EXACTLY what they accuse Republicans/conservatives of doing, is EXACTLY what liberals/Democrats do themselves, to those who oppose their beliefs.
This reporter (David Seaman) who's been fired/silenced by Huffington Post vents regularly on YouTube on the subject. If murder of WikiLeaks informant and DNC official Seth Rich (and other informants on Hillary) were not enough, he discusses secret meetings between Hillary and the editorial board of the New York Times. Gee, who saw that one coming?
The secret NY Times meetings gel perfectly with the secret meetings between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch, and FBI director James Comey's suspicious decision that it was not "reasonable" to prosecute Frau Hitlary despite overwhelming evidence of her guilt, and the FBI's reluctance to ask the most obvious follow-up questions when they interviewed Hillary about her e-mails, despite the blazing holes in her story.
I haven't really followed the rest, but this is news?
Australia has until recently always had US ambassadors who were friends or partisan supporters of whoever was the current president. Its a cushy role. I recall the US ambassador appointed by GWB said something like, "I sure am glad to be ambassador to a country which speaks "American,"" or somesuch. I think the current ambassador is actually a career diplomat, which from memory was the first time ever.
So Assange came through after all with about 2000 emails worth of Podesta leaks.
Of course, the media's gonna run with the new Trump recording with him being crude. It's gonna take a bit of effort for them to get through the noise, but it's not impossible.
Yeah, because Trump talking about women like objects (as every group of guys in America is guilty of, and for that matter, women talk the same objective way about men when we're not around) is just so much worse than Hillary Clinton committing four different kinds of treason against the U.S. government.
I mean, ignoring pleading requests for months by Ambassador Stevens (R.I.P) to increase security at Benghazi, ignoring attacks on embassies there of other nations, sitting on her hands and letting them die without sending backup, covering it up in the weeks and months after, even when it's proven within the first 24 hours she KNEW it was an Al Qaida affiliated attack and yet still sold it as because of a protest and a YouTube video... c'mon, that's such small potatoes relative to Trump saying he'd like to grab an attractive woman's privates!
But seriously...
Beyond that, Hillary Clinton's use of an illegal server for four years as secretary of state means she exposed the White House communication between her, the President, and other cabinet members EVERY DAY she was Secretary. James Comey (when asked) said in Congressional testimony it is a "virtual certainty" that the Russians and Chinese have hacked every communication on her server. Thus gaining inside knowledge of our foreign policy decisionmaking priorities, the play-by-play reaction time, and possibly the ability to launch a conventional military or nuclear first strike on the United States.
And she oversaw the collapse of our influence in the Mid East and North Africa, the defeats in Iraq and Afghanistan, the rise of ISIS, the invasion of Crimea and wider Ukraine, the military expansion of China into man-made islands in the South China sea.
That's at least 3 different kinds of high treason on Hillary Clinton's part. But that's not important because... Donald Trump made some demeaning and objectifying comments about women back in 2005! And the fact that Hillary Clinton gloated about getting a rapist off for raping and disfiguring a 12 year old girl, and laughed about it; the fact that Hillary Clinton called the victims who were sexually harassed/raped by her husband Bill Clinton "bimbos", and led the charge to discredit and destroy them, even though she KNEW they were telling the truth, discredited and destroyed other women to advance her own political ambitions. It would be something resembling fair for the (liberal) media to actually mention these facts, in a halfway balanced way.
Theory is that the Hillary camp was going to wait longer before releasing dialogue between Trump and Bush since, you know, the attention span of the electorate is such that the further away from the voting date that these so-called "bombshells" are released, the more likely they are to forget about them. However, Hilldawg's hand was probably forced by the leaked quotes and videos like this one that show Bill Clinton groping an unwilling assistant.
