A lot of corporations, or at least their CEO's, favor statism because in a state-run capitalism model, if they are among the favored, they reap billions from statist policy and no-bid federal contracts.
For example the largest health insurers spent millions on TV commercials in favor of Obamacare, because once passed, it would reap them billions in guaranteed business, as Comrade Obama's insurance mandate required every American to buy their product.
Likewise GE and its executive among Obama's favored elite, Geoffrey Immelt, also received a contract that netted GE billions.
It's a myth that "the rich" are all Republicans. Big business actually favors Democrats, because regulation favors the largest corporations, because it drives their smaller competition who can't as easily absorb the cost of new regulations out of business, and increases market-share for the ones who are left.
Democrats don't have a good explanation for why Republicans are the party of "the rich", but somehow all the most prominent billionaires such as Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos, and companies like YouTube, Twitter, Amazon and Facebook are clearly Democrat supporters. More than that, act as Democrat authoritarian enforcers helping with their corporate power to shut down free speech and control the message in favor of Democrats by every deceitful abuse of power available to them.
